2nd Public Call for Submission of Project Proposals LEVIATAD is Open

Support for innovation and internationalization of European small and medium-sized enterprises in the defense sector

The general objective of this Call for project proposals is to financially support projects by small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as newly established companies, which can contribute to the identified key investment priorities for capability development in the field of naval defense. The specific objective of the Call is to support innovation and internationalization of European small and medium-sized enterprises in the defense sector.

Following activities carried out during the initial phase of the LEVIATAD project implementation, such as ecosystem mapping, reporting on the needs and opportunities of SMEs in the field of capability development in naval defense, LEVIATAD has identified specific investment priorities:

  • autonomous ships and drones
  • communication, cyber security, and electronic warfare
  • onboard equipment: development, performance improvement
  • predictive maintenance, 
  • weapon systems improvement
  • decarbonization of ships

The general objective of the call for proposals is to provide financial support for small-scale projects that include small and medium-sized enterprises and newly established companies that can contribute to the above-mentioned key areas. The second LEVIATAD open call will select projects as funding becomes available.

The total available budget amounts to €469.721,52, with a maximum amount of grant €20,000 per project.

As this is an EU Call approved by the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency, all call documentation as well as the project proposal text must be in English.

Only proposals submitted to the official email address leviatad@dltm.it containing all mandatory documents and submitted within the deadline, will be accepted.

DEADLINE: The 2nd LEVIATAD call will be active from June 7, 2024 to August 8, 2024, until 11:59 PM CET. 

Upon receipt of each proposal, the applicant will receive confirmation of submission to the email address provided in the application form.

The results of the LEVIATAD call, including a description of the activities of small and medium-sized enterprises, date of award, project duration, and legal names and countries of the final beneficiaries, will be published on the official LEVIATAD website as well as on the Eurocluster website.
